They need a quick forward-reverse routine. If the drill speaks G-code, then something like M03, M04, or maybe try peck drilling with, say, G73? 🤓 🙃

I do have a leftover Hub75 card that can also be utilized for #linuxcnc instead of the MESA card. You can have if it you like.
It also features the nice flex-PCBs from @marble, so card has inputs.
Not sure how much pain the software is though. Have never tried it myself.

Finally got around to mounting my relayboard for the cnc. I spend quite some time in FreeCAD to make the threaded clamps.
Unfortunately the reason for getting into the cabinet was that the modbus/rs485 connection to the vfd was dead. I ordered a new usb-rs485 thing after rewiring and testing.

Wodden boxes I made for xmas presents.
Made with my #cncwoodoruter using #linuxcnc cad/cam was with vectric vcarve.
It was quite a challenge doing two sided machining. I ended up making a fixture, to machine the outside.
Topsides were a 2.5D relief motive. Bottom was engraved with "made by pedersen, xmas 2025, for y"
Walnut wood finished with furniture wax made from beeswax and linseed oil.

This weekend project was adding relays to my #cncwoodoruter with #linuxcnc this proved to be a nice learning experience with #freecad and the linuxcnc hal system.
FreeCAD to model a relay board mount. Which is now on #printables for #3dprinting https://www.printables.com/model/1552269-8-channel-relay-mount
I did go a bit overboard with cable channels and snapmounting - I still need to do a bit more for a wall mount and perhaps a cover.

hey #lazyweb what‘s a x86 sbc one would want for a linuxcnc setup? thinking about building an openpnp thingy (no idea which setup i’ll base it on, probably lumenpnp but more rigid and corexy) and need a bunch of gpio.
and i don’t really want to fight some 3d printer firmware so #linuxcnc it is.
anynya, looking at UP 710S and wondering if there’s some better options?
