As I skipped #FreeCADFriday last week, this week I uploaded an early entry:
I made a Bowden cable guide for my bike.
I hope it might be useful for other people as well!

For now, I've opted to modify the reel from the original model to implement the 'film feeding mechanism' I had in mind. It works pretty well. (Test film of course, hence the long leader.)
Why FreeCAD 1.0 Feels Like a Win for Everyone, Especially for Linux Users

Modelled entirely in #Freecad, this is a multiplayer version of the popular board game Sorry. It has been designed for 3 players upwards, and I also made some non-player sides, so 3 players could use a larger 6 sided configuration. The sides push together, with the start and home sections fitted to slots on the underside.
The original idea was by @PaulaMaddox . The idea was sound but the initial models weren’t quite there. I do CAD and BIM at work, so she handed it over to me to make it work!
Sadly, we didn’t get to try 5 players last night, one day maybe. And it really needs another iteration for a way of keeping the shape stable when it’s more than 3 sides, a job for this weekend, cos I’m expecting the weather to be lousy.
I never did something with CAD before - but using FreeCAD has quite a learning curve! I read/heard a lot about people have problems with FreeCAD coming from other programs, but for me as a newbie I don't have issues. Add/Subtract geometry to the object, edit some edges, boom. Very fun to work on a design, being able to print it out with a 3d printer and to hold it in the own hands.
I've been using FreeCAD for quite a while now and can make basic and intermediate level models for 3D printing and CNC'ing, but still every time I watch Mang0Jelly's videos, even the very basic ones, I learn some insanely handy trick or tool that I wasn't aware of.
