Susan Sarandon topless rubbing fresh squeezed lemon juice all over herself. Don’t question it.  Completely unrelated, this film had me locked in. Basically every character is a dirt bag but the little glimpse of this world was just so compelling for some reason.

Despite being tonally inconsistent, it's still entertaining enough to warrant a watch if you like seeing rich dicks get killed. Glen Powell still has star quality even if he's not a box office draw unless in involves tornadoes or Tom Cruise. Ed Harris plays a someone named Whitelaw, in case you were wondering how white and rich these characters were. Since it's been 30 minutes, Margaret Qualley appears in something. Topher Grace with frosted tips is the scariest sight of 2026.

Non ho ancora visto A Star is Born, ma Maestro non mi era piaciuto quasi per niente e anzi, mi aveva a tratti persino irritato. Comincio a pensare che Bradley Cooper regista non faccia per me. Con È l'ultima battuta?, il regista/attore statunitense vuole raccontare la storia di una coppia sposata in crisi attraverso la scoperta del marito, Alex Novak interpretato da un buon Will Arnett, della passione per il mondo del cabaret comico. Il suo è l'unico personaggio approfondito in maniera decente e usa le sue esibizioni come modo per affrontare il trauma della separazione da moglie e figli.
