So the movie's only black guy is named...Franklin? Overly familiar setup lulls you into a sense of knowing where everything will lead...until it doesn't. You admire the attempt at something different even if it's not entirely successful (thanks, third act exposition dump!) . Scattershot gore and kids in danger makes this worth a watch with some hot cocoa.
