On #ThisDayInHistory in 1805, #JosephSmith was born in VT. Founder of the #LatterDaySaints movement & #LDS Church, Smith is a controversial figure, known for dictatorial politics & #polygyny. Distinctive #Mormon cosmology & theology make it a curious splinter from #Christianity.

i shouldn't start fights with protestants online but...

the author of revelation had very little idea of what would be in the christian bible.

he cannot be talking about adding or taking away from the bible.

he's talking specifically about the book of revelation. revelation 22:18-19 can't be referring to the #christian bible which did not exist yet.

not to be #mormon on main, but #LatterDaySaints are correct about this. i'm standing ten toes down.

i honestly avoid some ex-mormon content too. they have every right to tell their story in their words. but sometimes they treat things i believe as inherently stupid and say things like "why would anyone (or worse, "a Black person") ever believe this?" they are always white. who are you, again?

#CommunityofChrist history with race is different, better imho, but it isn't great in regards to the treatment of Black saints. Early #Black #LatterDaySaints are awesome & their storys should be told!

Today I learned of Jared Birchall, a devout Mormon who runs Musk's "family office". His duties include bullying women into accepting the NDAs of his free speech absolutist boss.

I wonder if it has been revealed to the LDS that polygamy is once gain permissible, as long as one is a billionaire.
