i honestly avoid some ex-mormon content too. they have every right to tell their story in their words. but sometimes they treat things i believe as inherently stupid and say things like "why would anyone (or worse, "a Black person") ever believe this?" they are always white. who are you, again?
#CommunityofChrist history with race is different, better imho, but it isn't great in regards to the treatment of Black saints. Early #Black #LatterDaySaints are awesome & their storys should be told!
also. they really should pick up on the #LatterDaySaint thing. why are you showing me the type of protestants that wouldn't like me based on that alone.
i do have a history of watching saints unscripted (i know, i know. but when they talk about us (#RLDS / #CommunityofChrist) i tell the truth in the comments. bc they don't do diligent research. or talk to us apparently.")
but that would be #LDS (L-dS) content still. it also sends me academic christian material, which does peak my interest.
I wrote some poetry while at church camp. There was a session done by a brother who is a writer, and he focused on Villanelles and Sonnets. This is a quasi-Villanelle with artistic liberities taken.

in my article, i make the point that D&C 116 does reflect the CofC Enduring Principles and that 116 was prophetic. The revelation was Inspired by God but also came through a human and, therefore, isn't perfect or inerrant.
Also that we should approach the scripture as is stated in #CommunityOfChrist Statement on Scripture and interpret it responsibly instead of removing it. that scripture shouldn't be "hide it away so no one can see it" because some church members find it shameful now.

last night at the #CommunityofChrist #StarTrek discussion group someone equated Zefram Cochrane to Joseph Smith Jr. and it was hilarious.
the episode was #StarTrekEnterprise "Regeneration" and T'Pol is casting doubt on Zefram's recount of the Borg (from "First Contact" and with the reason that Zefram was known for having an "overactive imagination", and being "frequently intoxicated". which is true and even the human captain had to agree.
today is also the 40th anniversary of women in the priesthood in #CommunityOfChrist
