qwant news | Reporter who investigated Jeffrey Epstein is 'fleeing' the US after alleged 'direct energy weapons' attack

AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.

Alisa Valdes‑Rodriguez, a former Boston Globe and Los Angeles Times reporter who later became a bestselling novelist, says she has fled the United States after claiming she was hit by “direct‑energy weapon” attacks — symptoms she likens to the disputed “Havana syndrome” — in retaliation for her investigative reporting on Jeffrey Epstein’s New Mexico compound, Zorro Ranch. In Substack posts she described two episodes of mysterious energy strikes in her home office, alleged backpack‑sized devices placed on or near her roof by private‑military contractors, and later attacks from a semi‑truck‑mounted weapon she says could generate a real‑time 3D model of her house and target a body part. Valdes‑Rodriguez says she is now staying in safe houses and plans to leave the country permanently, but officials note that no public evidence supports her claims, U.S. intelligence assessments deem a foreign‑actor or novel weapon “very unlikely,” and alternative explanations such as stress, environmental factors, or psychogenic illness have been suggested.

“Raped and abused by his boss at JP Morgan,” the case of the banker “forced into sexual slavery” in the office.

A lawsuit that goes beyond the enormous demand for compensation, $20 million claimed in court, but one that shakes the world of Wall Street.

It is the one brought by Chirayu Rana, 35 years old at the time of the banking events in the offices of New York of JP Morgan Chase investment bank, a sector giant.

It is Rana who puts in black and white in his complaint that he was the “sexual slave” of his boss’s office, Lorna Hajdini, executive director two years older.

The former banker in his complaint recounts being drugged and raped by his boss and that “when I tried to change office I suffered retaliation,” also pointing the finger at JP Morgan Chase accusing the investment firm of covering for its manager.

JP Morgan had conducted an internal investigation, gaining access to the emails and phones of the two, but closing the investigation without making any findings. In fact, at the end of the investigation it was put in black and white that Lorna Hajdini, alleged harasser, had “fully” cooperated with the investigation, while Rana had not.

A story that could not have ended in court: a million dollars was offered to Rana to keep the case public, he refused and denounced everything, demanding over $20 million in compensation, while on the other side the accused Lorna Hajdini denies all charges.

A story that, to some extent, seems to emerge from a Netflix series. As in the testimony of a friend of Rana, in the investigation documents, guest in New York in an apartment in September 2024, who recounts being awakened in the middle of the night while sleeping on a sofa by Lorna Hajdini, drunk and naked, asking him to participate in “a three-way thing” in the adjacent bedroom. Friend to whom Rana had confided the continuing harassment he received from his boss, racist nicknames linked to his ethnicity.

Not only. As discovered by the New York Post, Rana would have faked his father’s death to be able to dedicate himself to collecting the documents for the lawsuit against his boss, with JP Morgan discovering the whole thing.
