QTiezzz on Fire! 🔥 3rd Edition will happen during the Transgender Awareness Week 2025! Another evening celebrating gender diversity, performative freedom, queer and trans* 🏳️‍⚧️ identities at Kunstuniversität Linz!

“QT” stands for Queer & Trans — and for everyone who moves between, beyond, or outside binary and ciscategories of gender. It is celebrating queer and trans identities and decenters cishetero norms in the audience. It is an event that is organized with and for students from the beginning to give space and raise awareness for transgender and queer issues.

The program will contain political and artistic expressions of queer and trans (ex)students from the Kunstuni Linz. There will be a speech, drag, poetry, experimental performance, DJ, and comedy.

The performances will follow an open-stage slot that invites a space for sharing and connecting — to show, speak, listen, and simply be.

The event is organized by the ÖH Kunstuni Linz and Petz Haselmayer (PhD Student and University Assistent at Learning – Engagement – Research).

The event is supported by the Austrian Students Union.

d*sign week is a week format dedicated to experimental and independent design practices, taking place in Linz (AT).

For whom do we design? And who has actually access to the tools for making?
How can we combine accessibility with the evolving language of visual communication?
d*sign week is a festival for experimental and independent design. The 2025 edition features workshops, lectures and conversations on design tools, graphic software and autonomous printing and publishing processes. Its programme investigates how access, participation and inclusion can be values that guide the making.

The d*sign week is a project initiated by the local cultural platforms Potato Publishing and servus.at and organized in collaboration with Kunstuniversität Linz, Timebased Media & Visual Communication.

The current edition takes place 24th–30th November 2025.

For me, last year's #ESEE-Degrowth conference 2024 in Pontevedra was one of the most memorable experiences. Now the conference proceedings are out.

We were able to make a small contribution to the discourse with our #audiowalk titled "Sustainability by default - an audiowalk for radical reflection" and a paper we presented titled "All I need – an inquiry into research-through-design for
a post growth world".
