#degrowth course, taught by a Black guy and a South Asian heritage woman, suggested donation $350 but nobody turned away for lack of funds (you can change the amount on the registration page). The BIPOC-focused version started this morning but I was able to sign up tonight anyway (there will be recordings of the live classes).

Scarcity conditions (eg competing with each other for scraps that fall from the tables of the Epstein class) are imposed on us by people invested in or benefiting from the status quo. Fuck 'em. We can build better.

Nein! Nein! Nein! und nochmal Nein!

Eine kapitalgedeckte, auf Rendite angewiesene Rente ist keine Lösung für nix, weil sie uns an ein Wirtschaftssystem fesselt, welches wir überwinden müssen, wenn wir soziale und ökologische Probleme wirklich lösen wollen.

Rente - oder wie auch immer man es nennen will, wenn alle im Alter angemessen versorgt sind - ist eine gesellschaftliche Aufgabe. Sie darf, wenn Gewinne immer mehr auf Maschinenarbeit basieren, auch nicht an Arbeit gekoppelt sein, zumal dann Care-Arbeit und Gesellschaftsarbeit benachteiligt sind. Für so etwas gibt es Steuern! Und wenn man Renten und Steuern halbwegs pfiffig aufeinander abstimmt, ist das auch nichts, was man als "Schulden" werten sollte.

Ich möchte nicht länger von ambitionslosen Trotteln regiert werden. Können wir da mal was machen?
