There goes another #unraid instance ๐
Killed 2 servers within a month of each other. My new main instance is still going strong with 220TB usable, so these smaller ones aren't really needed anymore.
That, and this particular unit is a 4U 80cm deep monster chassis that is loud and takes up a ton of room in my office. The newer unit is racked so I can get rid of this one finally..
It has been 0 days since I last had to reinstall my VCenter Server Appliance.
Since the broadcom acquisition, it sure is a pain to try and get updates etc configured correctly.
(Disclaimer: I'm not a pro VMWare admin, and I have pointedly ignored best practices. Like automated configuration backups.)
I'm still on track to move my lab to Proxmox, but that's gonna need some dedicated days to get running correctly.

This guide walks you through setting up Traefik v3 as a reverse proxy using the file provider for dynamic configuration. Weโll deploy it to serve Plex (via plex.randomdomain.com) and a general website (www.randomdomain.com), with CrowdSec integration for security. I have heard of #nextcloud , but I am not sure if that would be a good fit for a low-powered system that is strictly used for storage.
God help me I've "if you give a mouse a cookie"-d myself into planning a #homelab
This was only supposed to be a raspberry Pi running backup tasks to a NAS, and well of course I'm going to add a qbittorrent server behind a VPN, and hey it would only take a couple more devices to make Snapcast work, and my friend has an old PC I could ask for which would save a Pi purchase, at which point why wouldn't I install OPNSense on proxmox and host a Minecraft server, and if uptime is good maybe masto...
Got `acme.sh` installed on all the Proxmox nodes and managed to get the certs issued and installed to the right location without too much hassle. All of the UIs now no longer anger the Firefox gods. Also all of the servers are updated and nothing is on fire. Time to relax and debate on what to eat for supper.
Did a smidge of cable management because the fiber runs to the QNAP needed a bit more slack. Things I love: being able to disconnect the connections to the iSCSI storage and have absolutely no loss of connectivity.
