Iran Invites Afghan Prjme Minister to Khamenei Funeral Ceremonies
The invitation was formally extended by Iranian Ambassador to Kabul, Ali Reza Bekdali, during a meeting at the Afghan Presidential Palace on Sunday.
According to a statement from the Palace, Ambassador Bekdali welcomed the Islamic Emirate's support and the solidarity demonstrated by the Afghan nation during the recent war. He emphasized the importance of continued bilateral engagement between the two neighboring countries.
In response, Dr. Mullah Abdul Wase underscored the inseparable ties between Kabul and Tehran, describing their relationship as deeply rooted in shared Islamic values and geographic proximity. He further noted that the economic stability and security of both Iran and Afghanistan are intrinsically linked, and that cooperation between the two nations remains vital for regional stability.
The funeral and burial ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei are scheduled to take place from the 13th to the 18th of thencurrent Solar month (Sarathan).

This communiqué was delivered to Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasa, head of the Prime Minister’s Office in Kabul, by Iranian Ambassador Ali Reza Bakdel.
Arg (the Presidential Palace) stated that during the meeting, the Iranian ambassador acknowledged the Islamic Emirate and the nation's support during wartime.
Meanwhile, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office noted that relations between Kabul and Tehran, as Islamic and neighboring countries, are inseparable, adding that the economies and security of Iran and Afghanistan are intertwined.
Iran's former religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, passed away on February 28th following joint attacks by the United States and Israel. His funeral ceremonies are scheduled to take place from the 13th to the 18th of the month of Saren (August).
