Apparently that onliner-install-vmware-header-thing doesn't work if GCC and Make isn't installed, so to get #VMWare #Workstation to be able to do it's thing while setting up you need to add 3 more lines before that:
sudo apt-get install gcc
sudo apt-get install make
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-headers.$(uname -R)
...and you should be good to go.
