Out for a forage in my corner of London and came back with lots of blackberries and a cheeky bag of sloes. I'll process the blackberries today which will be jam and maybe a small batch of wine. The sloes will be frozen for infusing into spirits.

Heard from an old woman named Audrey that Alvin of Auckland, a good photographer, had, many years before, shown her how he refurbished his shirts when the collars became worn.
He'd go and buy another collar, remove the worn one and then sew the new collar in.

I didn't go looking for replacement collars.
A search for another day.

Instead I removed the worn one and converted the collar into a Nehru collar.
