Behold my second attempt at embroidery!
It's a lil wonky in places but these will be on my ass, I'm not too worried, lmao.
The wings are a pearlescent thread, and the yellow of the bees as well as the filled in honeycomb is a combination of regular and metallic thread.
Overall I'm pleased as punch with how they turned out.
AI6YR BenHmm, I am pretty sure this is wool flannel. If feels like what those Woolrich wool flannel shirts feels like, ever so slightly scratchy but warm. Also some cotton solids, and a few random synthetics. Fabric cutter, I got distracted and did not grab the cutting mat... sigh... Kilt, anyone?! 🤪 (nope!) #sewing

I also recently have learned that I find it easier to handstitch things I can barely see than machinestitch. Might be partially related to lighting conditions I have, but I doubt it's the only thing.
