Spotted what I think is local wild hopniss/American groundnut (Apios americana) in an area that's regularly being mown to the ground. I took a small tuber and will see how it does in a grow bag later this summer, would love a chance to watch it develop up close. I'm curious if our local type are diploid (fertile and producing edible beans in addition to tubers) or triploid (sterile, no beans.) I'm sure the tubers are small compared to the improved varieties, but that's fine. #nature #foraging #nativeplants #zone6b #zone7a #gardening

Habe heute fast alle gesammelten Pflazen verarbeitet. #Löwenzahn, #Knoblauchsrauke, #Vogelmiere, #Hirtentäschel, die Zwiebeln vom #Wundelauch, die Wunderlauch-Butter und noch einiges vom Balkon. So einfach und doch so köstlich!

So lecker! Spitzwegerich soll gut zu Linsen passen. Also habe ich heute Spitzwegerich gesammelt. Gefüllt ist die Paprika dann mit Spitzwegerich, Linsen, Feta und Reis. Darüber etwas Öl. Und natürlich Salz und Pfeffer. Ich habe mich nicht an die genauen Mengen-Angaben aus dem Rezept gehalten, fand es war zu viel Reis.
Und was soll ich sagen! Es war köstlich!

My area has a ton of black locus (Robinia pseudoacacia) that are blooming now. I finally managed to snatch a cluster that was hanging where I could reach it and get a taste-test. They have a wonderful aroma and are crisp and sweet, though there's a little bit of a starchy/beany dry finish--they are not quite as sweet and crisp as redbud flowers. If I could reach more of them, I'd definitely want to make a syrup. #nature #foraging #zone6b #zone7a #bloomscrolling
