I've been busy with some fiber arts while waiting for the weather to finish warming up for gardening season. I'm finally most of the way through this Gulf Coast Native fleece (a whole fleece - that's a lot of wool!) that I dyed with butternut hulls and coffee. It feels like it's taking forever, since I only have time to work on it every now and then. I'm looking forward to starting on the knitting-a-sweater phase of the project.
What do you folks use to ink embroidery designs on to fabric? Does it have to be a special kind of fabric?
Sure, I could ask Google, but I like people more than faulty AI.

Oletko aina kaivannut mehiläisvahaa, mutta sitä on saatavissa vain liian suuria määriä? Tässä pieni mehiläisvahapala, paino noin 25 g. Voi käyttää esimerkiksi leikkuulaudan vahaamiseen, polkupyörän ketjuihin, perinneompeluun, kotikosmetiikkaan ja moniin muihin kohteisiin. Mehiläisvaha sulaa noin 50 asteessa.
The beginning of a simple looped bag (the oldest form of naalbinding). I'm using a cotton yarn that's much softer than the nettle cordage Sally Pointer uses in the how-to video I'm following, so it's a little fiddly. I'm using the extra-large naalbinding needle that I made from the handle of a bamboo toothbrush.

And it's very easy to correct mistakes by felting over it! A little work can go a long way, so it's fast, too!
You'll also break needles. You may or may not go through periodic spells of 'gleeful stabbies' that precipitate a needle break.
