Investigative journalists from @correctiv_org have identified 34 Stasi officers and soldiers who are now active in the far-right #German party AfD. We're not just talking about members and supporters but party functionaries and candidates in state and local elections.

We are assessing the resumption of operation of the recently-shut-down nuclear power plants.'"

Fresh from pouring his money and energies into helping Donald Trump win reelection, Elon Musk has trained his sights on Europe. That is setting off alarm bells among politicians across the continent. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has endorsed the far-right Alternative for Germany, demanded the release of jailed U.K. anti-Islam extremist Tommy Robinson and called British Prime Minister Keir Starmer an evil tyrant. Many European politicians have been left concerned by the attention. Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis says Musk’s behavior is “troubling," while Starmer has condemned online "lies and misinformation." Loughborough University politics professor Andrew Chadwick says Musk is using X “a bit like an old-style newspaper mogul,” to promulgate his political views.
