Trump may not like solar, but lots of his voters do

A new poll reveals broad support for big solar farms among right-leaning voters — especially if panels meet certain manufacturing criteria.

Christopher Luxon's mad plan to start importing gas locks NZ into fossil fuels for longer – just as clean energy surges.

It's absolutely BONKERS.

With the same investment in rooftop solar panels and batteries, we could have cheaper electricity, a more resilient grid and a more reliable energy supply.

Importing gas locks NZ into fossil fuels for longer – just as clean energy surges

Even as the US steps back from Paris and New Zealand flirts with imported gas, the global energy transition is gathering speed.

“New UK onshore wind and solar is ‘50% cheaper’ than new gas”

—> I don’t see any mention of storage and batteries, but we still use should use this cheap energy when the wind *is* blowing and the sun *is* shining! It would be a waste not to.

The Indian government is preparing to allow electricity consumers to directly buy and sell power among themselves — especially surplus renewable energy — without going through the usual distribution company channels.

This initiative will encourage rooftop solar installations more, as households or solar panel owners can earn some extra income by selling surplus power.
The initiative might help India move closer to its 500 GW non-fossil capacity target by 2030.
