@mazigazi @mf_newsdigest This not about what to use as a search engine, there are indeed alternatives for Google Search such as Ecosia, or DuckDuckGo or Qwant.

This is about Google who used to sponsor FullFact but now has stopped doing so.

Unless Ecosia, or Qwant, or DuckDuckGo now send a million per year Fullfact’s way then this is a loss for most people.

Trump’s anti-truth crusade is not just an attack on facts – it’s an unravelling of the Enlightenment

I got an email from UK fact checking organisation Full Fact yesterday saying that Google had withdrawn funding from them, a million quid a year. That's a drop in the ocean to Google. Does Google want to be the only source of truth? #fullfact #degoogleyourlife
A conscious field plus its object as felt or thought of plus an attitude towards the object plus the sense of a self to whom the attitude belongs – such a concrete bit of personal experience may be a small bit, but it is a solid bit as long as it lasts; not hollow, not a mere abstract element of experience, such as the ‘object’ is when taken all alone. It is a full fact, even though it be an insignificant fact; it is of the kind to which all realities whatsoever must belong. . .
