"As a nation we have an artistic and creative zest and boffin-like inventiveness."
Great quote from today's Guardian

I love much about The Guardian, and pay to use it, but its search is sufficiently bad that they ought to remove it since it is a net time waste given how few times it finds relevant content. As it stands the search icon is a fig leaf hiding the fact that there is no search engine, there is instead a “find irrelevant content and waste time“ engine.

How to plan for a mental health crisis | Support | Mind

Read how to plan for a mental health crisis, including finding different ways to get support, making a personal plan and how to make an advance statement.

#Guardian article re: #PSA screening for me and #prostatecancer. All I can say is that I had a GP who refused PSA tests and stopped doing the examination 7 or 8 years ago (I'm 76). My brother called and said he had prostate cancer so I insisted on PSA; good is around 4, 7-8 is concerning, mine was in the 30s: gold medal. Tumor found, surgery done. If I'd followed my GP's "wait and see" mode I'd be dead.

Although blood test reduces deaths by two for every 1,000 men screened, many could face unnecessary treatment
