Independent investigative reporting site “The Seventh Eye” revealed that the Israeli police's Yamar SH (Judea & Samaria District; in fact Palestinian occupied West Bank) unit is monitoring foreign journalists' social media and using their critical reporting as grounds to deny entry to the West Bank.

Italian journalist Alessandro Stefanelli, who covered the West Bank for years without issue, was banned based on "evidence" including reporting on Bedouin villages lacking bomb shelters, describing Israeli policy as apartheid post-Oct 7, documenting environmental pollution in Tulkarem, and photographing armed fighters in Nablus.

According to author, Dror Atex, the same unit fails to solve ~90% of nationalist Jewish crime in the West Bank.

Stephen Colbert got cancelled after criticizing Trump. Billionaires keep buying media companies and controlling what people see and hear.

Free speech is under threat, journalists are pressured into silence, and powerful people are protecting each other. This is what happens when politics, money and media all end up in the same hands.
