Today is that #FirstSnowFall of the season. Not sure if it will stick but we’ll see. Tomorrow I get my winter tires on which seems like good timing.
The morning I couldn’t help but linger looking out my window. I enjoy the silence the snow brings, the calm I feel. Needless to say today is not a, “For the company!” Kind of day unlike some of my coworkers who seem to think if we finish the year strong we’ll get some bonus (we won’t)

Some scenes from the #FirstSnowfall of the season, as seen from my back patio door today in #AuroraIllinois (far suburban #Chicago area).
The mostly white #dog in the yard is our #Sheltie named Ava. She was waiting for us to come outside to play with her. Ava enjoys having us throw snowballs at her, and she loves to catch the snow in her mouth.
The near-melting kind of snow in this weather is good for making #snowballs -- not so dry as to be powdery and not stick together-- but it was still not deep enough to avoid picking up a lot of leaves in our snowball-making process.

To give you an idea of the temperature, the cement snow has naturally melted, and wasn't shoveled, but the wooden porch still has a bit of #snow.
