Incompetence and dishonesty by a #Republican candidate for #Congress in my local #elections ...

#CharlieKim , one of four GOP candidates running for #Illinois District 11, had to remove a FAKE #AI video endorsement from "Donald Trump" off his campaign website this week.

Kim blamed his staff for posting it.

The video showed "Trump" standing in front of a portrait of Kim, saying that Kim would be "incredible" for Illinois. But a local newspaper was able to easily and quickly get verification from the White House that the video was not real.

White House staff told the local #KaneCounty paper that all video endorsements are posted to Donald's TrumpSocial account.

After the Kane County paper told Kim the video was fake, it was removed from his campaign site.

So either Kim is dishonest for posting LIES, or he is an idiot for believing Donald Trump ever even heard of him AND rude for not calling to thank the POTUS for his "endorsement."

It's good to know that someone as careless and (at best) easily fooled or (more likely) dishonest as this dimwit wants to represent my city of #AuroraIllinois and the nearby communities.

Illinois' #PrimaryElections are March 11, 2026. Many early voting polling places are already open.

ICE-holes today in #Aurora #Illinois (far west Chicago suburbs)...

We live near this hospital (Rush Copley in Aurora) and had been seeing a helicopter flying overhead for over half an hour on Saturday afternoon, between 2-3pm. We know what the usual medical helicopters look like, and this was definitely not one of them. It was also circling for far too long.

This side of the hospital in the video (in link) is the ER entrance where patients and the ambulances enter and leave. ICE can be seen here blocking access to and from the ER for the ambulances and patients.

The whistles are bystanders who are drawing attention to the actions of the ICE agents, so that other people can be sure to record what is happening.

I finally found someone who posted a good video of the #NoKings protests in my hometown of Aurora, #Illinois today. There are no estimates yet on the number of attendees.

Aurora has a very diverse population, with a large number of Spanish-speakers and African Americans. It is also home to the largest Hindu temple in the Midwest.

ICE a-holes set up shop in the parking lot of Fischer Middle School in #AuroraIllinois , near Waubonsie High School. At least four unmarked white vehicles, and agents were wearing full masks (8:20am).

The school is closed today, so they are obviously using this as a staging area.

EDIT 10am: I was able to go over and check what my husband had witnessed early this morning. The ICE agents have left the scene, and there's now a policeman on site who said they must have left prior to his arrival. I don't know where they went, but we are about one hour's drive away from downtown #Chicago , and further than that from the infamous #Broadview IL ICE facility.

Aurora is the 2nd largest city in #Illinois with a population of over 180K people. A large percentage of them are Hispanic and African American. Today is a federal holiday across the USA, so all schools are closed.

It seems that even though the government can not afford to pay its air traffic controllers and other vital employees this week, they can still find the money to pay their Secret Police.

Yesterday in the #Chicago suburbs, we had some hail, and the tornado sirens went off south of us. After the rainstorm, we got a beautiful #rainbow 🌈 .

🧵 I heard... SILENCE.

This past week here in #AuroraIllinois , the weather has been pleasant & warmer. In the past, this kind of weather would be full of life, coming awake.

I know most of the #songbirds have migrated and haven't returned yet, so I don't expect to hear them. But only last week, I was regularly seeing a LOT of #birds , and hearing lots of chirping. The bird food & bread scraps I often put out for them in the morning were always eaten before lunch.

In past years, the sky would have had lots of birds flying overhead in this first warmth. I would hear lots of chirping.

This whole day, I heard only SILENCE.

4 of the past 5 days, bird food was left uneaten. Bread scraps were only eaten by the nighttime animals.

Today, I only saw one lonely #sparrow, behaving abnormally by hiding in my flower pot, right next to my door-- and near me. None of his friends ever appeared.

I hope I'm mistaken. I hope this is not due to #BirdFlu .
