If you have an enzyme with a "lag" before it starts activity can you still do initial rate and assume Michaelis-Menten kinetics from whenever it actually starts? (in this case it's working on a chromogenic substrate to "easy" to monitor when it starts)

In this role I am particularly interested in #Biguanide therapeutics, #Mitochondria, and workplace wellbeing.
