In September 2025, Labour government has announced Digital ID scheme that will be introduced in future, which caused major uproar and discontent in a society because of it potentially being a tool for surveillance. While this is certainly a valid point to raise and is reason enough to object, one thing that is usually overlooked is ways it can limit accessibility and discriminate people on multiple fronts. In this session we will talk about how Digital ID proposal in its current form is flawed aside from surveillance part, specifically: - previous technology schemes by UK gov't related to identification (e.g eVisa, NHS Covid tracing) and problems with it; - risk of the scheme being centralised and incompatible with open standards; - what does the passing of weakened data protection law has to do with it; - lessons to learn from Digital ID schemes in another countries - both good and bad And finally, the proposals on the strategy that we, as an open-source community, should embrace.

Problém je, když se někdo nabourá do serveru státního režimu a občanovu identitu ukradne, a nebo se někdo nabourá do občanova počítače a mobilu nebo co používá na autentizaci, tak může konat právní úkony občanovým jménem, tzn. si především převést veškeré občanovy úspory do zahraničí (Nigérie apod.), převést si občanovy nemovitosti na bílého koně, prodat je a peníze poslat do zahraničí (např. i přes Bitcoin), napůjčovat si na občana u bank dluhy a ještě občanovu identitu zneužít k páchání zločinů například v kambodžských scam/mučících/únosových centrech, takže pak občan bude:
1) Bez úspor
2) Bez nemovitostí
3) S obrovskými dluhy, které bude splácet do konce života jako otrok
4) Trestně stíhaný za zločiny, které nespáchal, díky čemuž se napakuje nějaký zkorumpovaný aprarátčík čínské bolševické strany který provozuje únosová a mučící centra v Kambodži protože se kamarádí s dle mého názoru zkorumpovaným diktátorem Hun Senem
Ale zase to má výhodu:
1) Může posílat dokumenty z tepla domova a nemusí chodit s doporučenými dopisy na poštu.
