My technical wish for 2025 is that experiments done over the years in slow-growing gene #deletion strains will be repeated under rapid depletion of the corresponding proteins (#degron).

Especially in the field of #mRNA degradation, it is an illusion that the results obtained in cells growing at different rates are not strongly influenced by the different metabolic levels of the studied cells.
