So, got a response from the GCP support regarding the issue I filed for the Datastream service (which we use for a Change Data Capture process).

As I expected, the underlying part (generated columns in source database) is not supported "yet", thus "documentation will be updated to include this limitation".

And this also adds another stone to the pile "Datastream is a Debezium in disguise" (what GCP denies every time).
