You can visit it and perhaps arrange to take it home when itβs done playing for kids up at the Sunrise neighbourhood in Vancouver (across from the Hastings library)

Reporting on the #RepairCafe where I took the dumpstered #ChordOrgan yesterday
We opened it up for a somewhat spectacular reveal of its reed organ innards
A simple wiring job got the 60 year-old fan revving up to minor cyclone volume π
The instrument then filled the #maker-space with some approximation of music! πΆ
π©Ί Prognosis: a new fan could get it playing ok
For now our Friends at The Learnary will use it as a childrenβs book-display πΉ π

I did some #chordOrgan threads on Twitter which might have featured more #Accorgan [edit: #Pianaccord] photos (did I spell it right, with two cβs?) thereβs a patent. They were made by this Accordion company in Denver
Came out right as the accordion peaked in the mid 50s, so never had a chance against the rise of amplification
@UkuleleG3orge has one! And says itβs quite short to fit his knees underπ¦΅
