#Fairphone|s are not supposed to be waterproof (because #repairability requires to not seal the device with glue I guess?).

Yet, yesterday I accidentally dropped my @Fairphone 6 into 40cm deep water, then noticed I lost it, called it (it rang!) and pulled it out a few minutes later.

I was able to unlock and switch off the device, picked up a screw driver and took it apart (which is easy). Turns out only minimal amounts of humidity had entered through the SIM card slot & speaker. 💦 ♥️

Neat: bought a €5 pair of bluetooth earbuds. They actually came with a diagram how to pop them open and replace the batteries. 😄

(Although I doubt I’ll ever so, as it still requires (de)soldering some wires and getting my hands on suitable replacement LiPos)
