Like a miniature lap-cello with a push-pump on the bottom to control its bellows-fed reed organ insides

Again fantastic metal button-board on the neck. I would probably start crying if I got to play one of these some day 😭

#Rossini #Harmonium I spent ages looking for a decent recording of Rossini's Petite Messe Solonnelle. Rossini originally scored it for choir, 2 pianos and harmonium. He knew a thing or two about music :-)

People misunderstand the harmonium and in any case most of the performances I see replace it with piano or pipe organ, or list a harmonium, but replace it for the Preludio Religioso where it gets to sing.

This isn't quite my favourite recording, but it's close. The preludio religioso starts at 55:45, the harmonium solo from 57:00, in case anyone is still reading :-)

The visuals and animations were again breathtaking, just like those in the first two movies by James Cameron . ✨👏 When Zoe Saldana starts singing The Songcord, I always get a lump in my throat... 😧♡ It really makes me feel connected with nature, and it has a strong indigenous energy, even though it is sung in Na'vi, a fictional language created by Paul Frommer. It is such an incredibly beautiful song, a true work of art by Simon Franglen ✨🙏

I love singing this song, because it feels very meditative and connecting. Especially when playing on my "acoustic synthesizer" (harmonium) 🎹
