Reporting on the #RepairCafe where I took the dumpstered #ChordOrgan yesterday

We opened it up for a somewhat spectacular reveal of its reed organ innards

A simple wiring job got the 60 year-old fan revving up to minor cyclone volume 🌀

The instrument then filled the #maker-space with some approximation of music! 🎶

🩺 Prognosis: a new fan could get it playing ok

For now our Friends at The Learnary will use it as a children’s book-display 🎹 📚

The dumpstered #ChordOrgan finds its new gig at the Learnery after a diagnosis 🩺 at this week’s #RepairCafe

You can visit it and perhaps arrange to take it home when it’s done playing for kids up at the Sunrise neighbourhood in Vancouver (across from the Hastings library)
