It's cold, I'm exhausted, and I woke up feeling like absolute crap this morning. But I was still able to get my kid to school without a car because of my #EBike*.
@nwchapman I think you are falling into the classic trap of assuming that the #BanCars movement means literally 0 cars anywhere ever. This point has been debated many times over, but just wanted to call that out.
Maybe it's more technically accurate to call it #CarLite if you like, but to me it's the same thing. My alternative hashtag hasn't taken off for some reason:

As a #carFree household, fuel prices affect us only indirectly, in the way their increase lift other prices in the economy. We are happy to almost never pay for petrol at the pump. π²
On one hand, I do feel some sympathy for people struggling to pay the rising cost of petrol. It is tough nowadays.
On the other, maybe this will finally motivate some people to reduce their #carDependency? Maybe those of us living #carLite or car free can finally stop being the tiniest minority?
