Keisha Lance-Bottoms, a Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia, was on #cspan promoting her new autobiography. She said: "It's ok to go through some rough patches."
Her book tells us about many of her rough patches: an imprisoned criminal father, bulimia, and sexual abuse where, as a child, she blamed herself. She said: "My daddy was such a good person. And sometimes good people make bad mistakes." It is unusual for a candidate for governor to reveal so many personal problems. #politics
