1. In defunding #NPR and #PBS on an ideological basis, a judge rules, the Trump administration had engaged in viewpoint discrimination.
2. Progressives may learn to embrace Chiles v. Salazar as the SCOTUS's 8–1 decision would also preclude right-wing censorship of gender-affirming talk therapy.
3. In Trump v. Barbara, #SCOTUS conservatives apparently rediscover originalism as they seem skeptical a president can nullify birthright citizenship by fiat.

In 1984, Stewart Cheifet told a Senate committee that his station, KCSM, ran 341 minutes of ads during a limited #PBS advertising experiment authorized by Congress. In contrast, he said neighboring PBS station KQED spent 2,548 minutes during that same period running its pledge drive.

My question is: How many minutes did it take some College of San Mateo student to sit down and watch all that footage to calculate those figures for Stewart?

There’s quite a bit of irony here.

Trump just took a fat L in court today. His executive order, titled “Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Biased Media” sought to strip funding from #NPR and #PBS because he didn’t like their programming.

Note that the My Pillow Guy, Mike Lindell, and far-right influencer Laura Loomer have been designated as official members of trumps press pool.
