🌟#MeetOurDataStewards: Cornelia Wetzker

We’re excited to introduce Cornelia Wetzker, @nfdi4bioimage as our featured member this month. Cornelia is a trained life scientist and microscopy specialist and now supports scientists in bioimage data management. She can help you with requests regarding research data management in general, #bioimage data handling and management e.g. in the platform #OMERO and publication in public repositories.

🌟#MeetOurDataStewards #3: Riccardo Massei
Riccardo's first project as a Data Steward at @nfdi4bioimage involved managing and publishing an HCS zebrafish dataset. 🐟

Using the #VAST Bio-Image platform and #OMERO, he created a workflow to structure and annotate the data, which is now shareable via the #BioImage Archive. This strengthens open science and #FAIR data principles. 🌍

👉 Take a closer look at Riccardos' work as a Data Steward: https://nfdi4bioimage.de/news/news-details/meet-our-data-stewards-3-riccardo-massei/

To wrap this up: Both tools are easy to test. I highly recommend trying them on your own data to see what works best for your use case.

I’ll include #CellSeg3D in our next #Napari #bioimage analysis course (https://www.fabriziomusacchio.com/teaching/teaching_bioimage_analysis/). Curious what impressions and feedback the students will share. 🧪🔍

What I really like about @napari is how well it integrates modern #Python tools. Great to have such a flexible, evolving #opensource platform for (bio) #imageanalysis! 👌

In this blog post at https://s.gwdg.de/m5Bu3L I showcase the #NFDI4BIOIMAGE (@nfdi4bioimage, @[email protected]) #knowledgegraph and its function as a registry for public #OMERO image data repositories and their respective #SPARQL endpoints. Annotated #bioimage data has become part of the #semanticweb. @joshmoore @Andrawaag #nfdi #metadata #KnowledgeGraphs #ontop #r2rml #rdf
Linked Open Data for Bioimaging

This post demonstrates the NFDI4BIOIMAGE Knowledge Graph (N4BIKG). Many aspects of this project are still very much in the flow including a consensus on which ontologies and terms to employ, how to define various namespaces and much more. These issues left aside, I focus on two components: First, the "core" KG contains information about the NFDI4BIOIMAGE consortium, it's participating institutions and people working in or for NFDI4BIOIMAGE, publications (via zenodo records submitted to the NFDI4BIOIMAGE community) and some more.

Some time ago @devTLB and I announced that we work on a review about #rstats packages for #bioimage informatics. We think it is fairly complete now.

We would be happy to get some feedback before we submit it.
