Volunteered at the #bikevalet at #brewloops this evening. So good to see the bike valet so well used - more than 100 bikes. So heartening for this #kamloops cyclist to see.
And nice work Brewloops encouraging biking by supporting a bike valet and cyclists with a complementary drink.
Have never seen a bike valet with such atmosphere being next to the ferris wheel and DJ stage.

@ascentale @bobjonkman @Pionir @bikenite A3. Others have answered the descriptive portion of the question quite well. I think the first time I encountered one was at the Craft Beer and Ribfest in Victoria Park a few years ago. The City of Kitchener runs their Bike Check at many events, which is a great experience. Here’s a photo from earlier this summer.
#BikeNite A3: #BikeKitchener in #Kitchener, Ontario has been running a free #BikeValet service at larger, city-sponsored events for a while.
Rather than dragging your bike through the crowds at an event, you bring your bike to the desk where a volunteer takes your bike, gives you a claim ticket, and puts your bike in a fenced-off area. You can leave your panniers, lights, cell phone mounts &c attached, it's all secure and safe.

I didn’t know, and have now just learned that bike valet is a Vancouver, BC Innovation.
Good End of trip facilities (knowing your bike is safe) are just as important as safe bike lanes & routes.
Recently celebrated 18 years of bike valets. An idea worth stealing around the world! 🚲💪❤️
