A4. Not quite the best, but best one I have a picture of in a parking garage, and the worst just out on the sidewalk and moveable.
#BikeNite A3: Ever since opened the rear hub to tighten a wobble, and discovered the ball bearings were not in cages, and retrieved most of them that hadn't rolled too far away, then needing five hands to hold the wheel, hub, skewer, bearing race, and the wee little tiny slippery ball bearings, and getting laughed at by the tech at the LBS (very politely so as not to hurt my feelings), and needing to buy a new wheel anyway, I won't touch anything with bearings.
I have this idea that the people who participate in locksport aren't the people who steal bicycles.
The people who steal cycles by picking locks aren't engaged in locksport, they're engaged in theft.
I suppose there might be some crossover, but that would be similar to those locksmiths engaged in burglary...
#Bikenite A2: Here's the problem: The cylinder is partly turned. The nubbin on the key can only go into the lock when the slot in the cylinder lines up with the slot in the bezel. In theory, the key can only come out when the slots are lined up, but here we are..
The lock is well-lubricated, that's not the problem. I used a light mineral oil, BTW.
I'm thinking of filing off the outside nubbin on the key so I can insert it and use the lock again.
#BikeNite A1: Posting from #WaterlooRegion, where June is the start of the summer festivals (Pride, Multicultural, Palestine Day, OpenStreets, Kultrun) and the start of the #Cycling events: Bike Week, Pride Ride, and maybe some group rides with @CycleWR
Different this year: I'm off to a slow start. Wasn't able to attend the CycleWR AGM and forgot to pay my membership. And I haven't started my weekly commute into the city yet.
