Adnkronos - Cultura: Salone Libro, sabato presentazione di "Difesa è libertà" di Massimo Panizzi

(Adnkronos) - In un tempo segnato da guerre ibride, instabilità geopolitiche e crisi della democrazia occidentale, il generale di Corpo d’Armata (ris.) Massimo Panizzi firma con “Difesa è libertà. Il coraggio di proteggere la nostra indipendenza” un saggio che si propone come riflessione civile e culturale prima ancora che militare. Il volume, pubblicato da Historica-Giubilei Regnani con prefazione di Maurizio Caprara, sarà presentato al Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino sabato 16 maggio, alle ore 11.30, presso il Padiglione 2 – Sala Rosa. Panizzi, ufficiale degli Alpini con una lunga esperienza operativa in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq e Afghanistan, affronta il tema della Difesa sottraendolo alle tradizionali semplificazioni ideologiche. Il nucleo del libro è chiaro fin dalle prime pagine: “la libertà non si conserva da sola” e la Difesa non coincide con il semplice uso della forza, ma con la capacità di una società di custodire istituzioni, verità, memoria e dignità umana.

Salone Libro, Saturday presentation of “Defense is Freedom” by Massimo Panizzi

(Adnkronos) - In an era marked by hybrid wars, geopolitical instability, and the crisis of Western democracy, General of Corps (res.) Massimo Panizzi signs “Defense is Freedom. The Courage to Protect Our Independence” a book that aims as a civil and cultural reflection before being military. The volume, published by Historica-Giubilei Regnani with a preface by Maurizio Caprara, will be presented at the International Book Fair of Turin on Saturday, May 16th, at 11:30 am, at Pavilion 2 – Sala Rosa. Panizzi, a soldier of the Alpines with a long operational experience in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, addresses the theme of Defense by removing it from traditional ideological simplifications. The core of the book is clear from the first pages: “freedom does not preserve itself” and Defense does not coincide with the mere use of force, but with the ability of a society to safeguard institutions, truth, memory, and human dignity.
