@tomcapuder I forget who wrote it, something like, “it’s statistically unlikely that there is a god”. I, similarly, choose to believe that there is no god. Since we can’t know, to me it’s a choice.
My problem with the term atheism, and the reason that I don’t consider myself an atheist, is that rather than the base “without god” it’s been conflated to “there is no god”, a belief. And to me the belief that "there is no god" is the same trap as “god exists”. I’m not a fan of the term agnostic either.
I general, I don’t care if someone chooses to believe that god exists. Mostly, nice, whatever, keep it to yourself. Where I do care and will fight is when those “believers” think that they can impose their perverse religious views on society, laws, governmental policies, and on me.
