MaxI fear the current #systemd ... er ... issue is going to have an unfortunate cascade effect on my long-term desktop usage comfort zone. I've been using #ArchLinux (btw) since 2010ish, and #Gnome since 2000, and it could be that the time is approaching where I'm going to have to start investigating alternatives. Urgh, my days of distro-hopping I had thought were long behind me. But, it seems the warnings of those people who highlighted the various problems with SystemD are being proven to be prescient.

i do recommend you use artix with openrc anyway since systemd has already implemented a birthdate field to user records
