Today’s LGBTQ+ hero is the author E.M. Forster (1879-1970), one of my favourite writers. He skewered the hypocrisy, racism and stupidity of the British Empire in the early 20th-century. He also wrote one the best gay love stories of all time: Maurice. It was so autobiographical, it wasn’t published until after his death.
