@yngmar This is great! I'm a long-distance backpacker and we have a similar custom: "hiker boxes" at hostels and resupply points, where people leave any gear or food they no longer need, for others to take.

@minib @Giagia @merialc I just follow the hashtag, not the group, and when I comment on a post it doesn't get repeated to the @ group. Don't be nervous about replying, people love it when you enjoy their knitting. You can also just press the star ("like") and only the original poster will see it.

I met a guy on #FacebookMarketplace who was offloading #wood #scraps so I picked them up from him. Turns out he’s an #etsy dealer who makes these beautiful futon beds, and he’s always got scraps. Anyways, I turned those free scraps into this #MidCenturyModern #pet #bed using basically all #free materials. Even the bedding was made using scrap fabric from an #InteriorDesigner getting rid of old fabrics. #sustainibility #reuse #upcycle #woodworker #woodwork #maker

I got an old army map book at a consignment shop & modified it until it was a nice sketchbook holder. Also painted all over it over the last three nights.
