ein Erfolg für die Tiere: Der Online-Marktplatz Etsy hat angekündigt, dass zukünftig kein Pelz mehr auf der Plattform verkauft werden darf. Damit reagierte das Unternehmen auf den anhaltenden Druck von PETA USA und ihren internationalen Partnerorganisationen sowie die Nachrichten von mehr als 100.000 Unterstützenden.

Mit dem neuen Verbot reiht sich Etsy in die wachsende Gruppe von pelzfreien Marken und Händler:innen ein, die sich bereits gegen das tierquälerische Produkt entschieden haben. Wir von PETA Deutschland freuen uns sehr über diesen wegweisenden Schritt.

Jedes Jahr werden mehr als 100 Millionen Tiere für ihr Fell getötet. Auf Pelzfarmen werden beispielsweise Füchse und Nerze in völlig verdreckten, winzigen Drahtgitterkäfigen gehalten. Tiere wie Kojoten und Waschbären werden zudem wegen ihres Fells in freier Natur gejagt.

Bitte meiden Sie Pelzprodukte, setzen Sie auf tierleidfreie Alternativen und klären Sie Ihr Umfeld auf.

Unusual activity means the site (in this case eTsy can not grab data from my system to resell for marketing/advertising/data-mining/id-theft and all those nice things they are "usually" engaging in to provide access to "sellers' data" ...

Sellers should know their fees for listing include rights of reselling/exchanging data between seller/buyer into third parties.
