My abstract got accepted to the World Planning Schools Congress! It has a different audience from my own field, so I am hoping for good discussion from fresh perspectives.
The conference is organized only every five years and this is its first time in Europe and as it is in town next summer, so it fits perfectly into my schedule. It will likely be the last time I'll yap about student #mobility for a while as new #GIScience projects are on my horizon!
It appears like forming a government with a party that is openly racist is a bad idea. Who woulda thunk it?
Interesting to see the UK potentially returning to the #Erasmus mobility programme in a year's time. For obvious reasons, the role of the UK in Erasmus #mobility has reduced essentially to nil since 2020.
I wager the big European cities like Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and Barcelona will still be big draws for UK students, but how has #Brexit and the #pandemic influenced where else students from the UK want to go remains to be seen!

I recently became a board member for the Geographical Society of Finland @geography1888 for the 2026-2027 term.
It is my first time in such a role, so I don't know what to expect besides supporting the activities of the two journals (Fennia and Terra) run by the society and the organization of the annual Geography Days conference.
