Journalist Anastasiia Hlukhovska from Melitopol has been on a hunger strike in Russian captivity, reports RIA Pivden. The Russians illegally seized her from her own apartment in Melitopol and have been holding Hlukhovska in a pretrial detention center in the city of Kizel, Perm Krai, since 2023. According to the publication, Anastasiia remains in that detention center to this day. This has also been confirmed by other former prisoners: "That prison has very strict rules. Prisoners are not allowed to sit or lie down in their cells during the day. So on top of her chronic illness — endometriosis — Anastasiia has developed additional health issues, including swelling in her legs. A prisoner who was recently exchanged said he saw Anastasiia in the yard while she was cleaning the grounds. Men and women are usually held separately there. But that day, everyone was brought out. And he saw Nastia. She is alive, and that's the main thing," said Anastasiia's sister. ▪️Previously, journalist Viktoria Roshchyna, who died in Russian captivity, was also held in this same detention center. The mayor of Dniprorudne, Yevhen Matvieiev, also died there. 🪐 Subscribe on Live: Ukraine
