Enjoying the salmon pink #tulip my sister-in-law brought home for me from #Keukenhof garden festival this year in the Netherlands.

Ideal conditions for supporting a #runner from #plymouth today at #Newport #Marathon . Good luck everyone - see you at the finish line, Andy!

Lasers were a huge scientific breakthrough and now we use them to play with cats. Computers were also a huge scientific breakthrough and now we use them to look at pictures of cats. In other words, science was made for cats.

Time for a #CupOfTeaSocial #QuizQuestion! It's been a while since we've had a #geography question (I think), so let's give this one a try.

The river Rhône flows into the Mediterranean in southern France, whereas the river Rhine flows into the North Sea in the Netherlands. Roughly how far apart are the sources of these two rivers?

Give this a #boost and let's see if the #fediverse can get this one right if we all work together (or alternatively we'll prove that the 'wisdom of crowds' is just nonsense).

Bird 'superhighway' may become first World Heritage Site of its kind

Used by around 90 million coastal and wild birds every year, the East Atlantic Flyway starts at northeast Canada and runs as far south as South Africa.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) said the Flyway had been added to the list “in recognition of its vital importance to bird populations and wildlife”. #nature

Returning to work this morning after Easter, my top 3 #random #journalling words #today are:

Bring | Evidence | Home

Is the subconscious guide advocating smarter market research? Not a bad idea, thank you. Always better to #write what people want to #read.

Good morning Mastodon, from a blue-sky, still-water lakeside Somerset cottage, crisp frost still on the grass. Brrr. Gorgeous. ❤️

Had a bit of a tidy yesterday. Found my sewing machine. *Waggles fingers in anticipation *

(Yes, shocking, but we’ve only just moved house…)

Our mistakes
if stacked end to end
would stretch
to the moon and back
and yet
we learn to work around them all
cause in this flawed life
we constantly
must overcome ourselves
or permanently fall

Today’s random word revelation hidden in my #journal was:

Find | Shadow | Memory

If shadow is the dark figure cast upon a surface, intercepting rays of life (Webster) then what is shadow memory?

Perhaps an incomplete impression of an event or an experience, derived from an absence of light, from the interception of clarity - leading later to self-illumination.

Gratitude for the invisible guide of #journalling for #storytelling .
