A plant-derived natural photosynthetic system for improving cell anabolism - Nature

Proof of concept of the viability of a plant-derived photosynthetic system based on nanothylakoid units encapsulated in a chondrocyte membrane to enhance cell anabolism in chondrocytes is demonstrated.

“The career of the academic man is generally based upon plutocratic prerequisites. For it is extremely hazardous for a young scholar without funds to expose himself to the conditions of the #academic #career. He must be able to endure this condition for at least a number of years without knowing whether he will have the opportunity to move into a position which pays well enough for maintenance. “

“1/n Single-cell data analysis is complex with many tools to choose from - but which ones work best and should be used when? Led by @lukasheumos and @AnnaCSchaar, we wrote a free online book that aims to guide single-cell data analysts: https://t.co/UMU5c7S6pF”

Meet the #preLighters: Chee Kiang (Ethan) Ewe. 🌟

https://prelights.biologists.com/news/meet-the-prelighters-a-virtual-chat-with-chee-kiang-ethan-ewe/

Ethan is a #postdoc in the lab of @Odedrechavi at Tel Aviv University, Israel, where he studies the molecular basis of epigenetic #inheritance.

We spoke about his very international #career, the #mentors along the way, his future #goals, and the importance of #preprints both to him and the biological #community.

#Introduction #Interview #ECRs

#hiringnow we are looking for a #PhDstudent to study the #phenotype and #consequences (#genomic, #epigenetic and #Transcriptomics) in accelerated brain development. Please apply through the # Helmholtz International PhD program at the DKFZ https://www.dkfz.de/en/phd-program/. Deadline December 15. Please indicate #WeiLab as your preferred destination!
PhD Program

The DKFZ International PhD Program is the interdisciplinary program for all students working at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ). Our 500 PhD students conduct research at the forefront of basic and translational cancer research. We warmly invite you to apply at the DKFZ and to join its many distinguished scientists in cancer research!

#introduction I am Timothy En Haw Chan, a PhD student at University of Freiburg Hospital 🇩🇪 & affiliated with IMPRS-IEM, Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics. Previously from 🇲🇾 & trained in 🇹🇼. I using #omics to understand #epigenetics landscape, #chromatin regulators and #signaling in #cancer. Other interests include #transcription mechanism, #enhancer and #synbio. In my spare time, most likely I am writing + editing for science comm (investigator.tw), running 🏃 or hiking ⛰️.
