Sabine HermissonNovember 6 was Mila’s 20th birthday – a date that also marked two years of her being very severely ill with #mecfs. It was a day I just wanted her – and us – to survive.
6 years ago, life had been perfect. We spent a year at Berkeley as a family. For Mila a relaxed school year at Martin Luther King Middle School, volunteering at an animal shelter, and lots of road trips. She loved Berkeley and made up her mind to return for a PhD in science.
