Doom is now 31 years old, and not a single member of its original team remains at id Software. In a better world, it would be in the public domain.
As it is, the port released last August added a slapdash minimally-moderated mod upload feature that is an actively disrespectful and irresponsible presentation of its decades of community work - unequaled in game history - mislabeling every upload as "by" the rando who uploaded it.
Doom deserves better, and it will survive its current ownership.
