We could only hold out in the crowds for a couple hours before running out of spoons, but the #NoKings demo was emotionally powerful. It felt like half the city turned out.
The mood: strikingly “smash the fash”, the noise of horns and chanting loud & sustained, everyone had creative handmade signs, and the crossover with the Pride march was so colorful and gay! Grannies and teens and veterans and drag queens all chanting together and encouraging each other.
Even #asstodon was represented!
